This morning UK had a 2-hour delay due to a winter storm. I was already dressed for work when a co-worker called to make sure I had heard the announcement, so I leisurely ate my breakfast then went outside see how bad it really was. I could barely hold on to the ice-covered railing as I inched my way down the steps to the driveway. I finally managed to open my car door, turn the heat on and scrape the ice off of my car in the freezing rain. I went back into the house, put on a dry coat and headed on to work to make sure I could get a parking spot in the structure.
